LCA Comments on Notice of Proposed Rulemaking: Termination Rights and the Music Modernization Act’s Blanket License

On December 1, 2022, the Library Copyright Alliance (LCA) signed onto an Authors Alliance letter to Suzanne V. Wilson, Associate Register of Copyrights, voicing support for the US Copyright Office’s notice of proposed rulemaking regarding termination rights under the Music Modernization Act’s blanket license. LCA’s primary interest in the rulemaking is to ensure that authors’ termination rights under Sections 203 and 304 of the Copyright Act are not eroded. The letter is cosigned by Public Knowledge, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Library Futures, and Fight for the Future.
