Section 108 of the Copyright Act

On June 15, 2025, the Library Copyright Alliance submitted comments on the discussion draft of the framework for the American Copyright Protection Act (ACPA), highlighting aspects of the draft that could inhibit the free flow of information and adversely affect library users.

On June 16, 2016, the Library Copyright Alliance issued a statement reaffirming its opposition to any effort to revise Section 108 of the Copyright Act, which provides exceptions for libraries and archives.
