LCA Sends Letter Urging Vote Against the CASE Act of 2019

On October 21, 2019, the Library Copyright Alliance sent a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Republican Leader of the House Kevin McCarthy urging them to vote against the Copyright Alternatives in Small Claims Enforcement (“CASE”) Act of 2019, which will likely lead to a significant increase in the amount of litigation brought against libraries. The CASE Act of 2019 was on the suspension calendar for later the week of October 21, 2019.
